Daily Communication

At Step by Step, we understand the need for parents to know what their child has been doing throughout the nursery day. We place great importance on clear and consistent communication in all its forms, whether online, or face to face.
Since the onset of COVID, we adopted the use of the Parent Cloud App, which parents can access via a smartphone. This enables parents to keep up to date with daily activities and care routines, and we welcome feedback and commentary from our parents. Photographs and videos are shared daily with parents, and parents can respond to news and updates in a quick and convenient manner. The Parent App provides a window into each child’s daily life at nursery, reassuring parents that their child is safe, happy and thriving.

Parental Engagement

At Step by Step nurseries, we take a partnership approach to practice and this means that we want you to have as many opportunities as possible to engage in your child’s early learning journey. We value our parents as the child’s first and most enduring educator and we provide regular opportunities for parents to feedback in the form of surveys and suggestion boxes.

Calendar of Events

From coffee mornings to International Fairs and National Day celebrations, our calendar of events is designed to add value to the core programme and welcome families to the Step by Step family.

Parents Association Established at the start of the school year, our Parents Associations exist to support the wider community and welcome newcomers to Dubai. With weekend events including Stay and Play at the Park and Saturday morning beach walks, our Parents Association provides an opportunity for mums and dads to come together in social situations to meet their child’s friends and make connections with other families. Most importantly, the Parents Association is a platform for parents to share their experiences, ideas and suggestions to enhance our offering further.

Parent Nurture Programme

A series of workshops designed to support parents in key areas of parenting including Positive Behaviour Management, Supporting Literacy and Maths Development, Preparing your Child for FS1, Keeping your Child Active during the Summer Months and many more. The sessions take place face to face and online and offer parents top tips whilst providing a forum to exchange ideas and experiences. At Step by Step we believe in supporting the whole family unit and in sharing strategies and approaches for the benefit of our little ones.
