Qualified Early Years Educators

Our highly sought after nurturing learning environment is a result of our skilful teachers.

Our certification requirements are CACHE level 5 for Managers and CACHE level 3 for Teachers at a minimum.

Many of our Educators also have degrees in Education and Teaching as well as Social Sciences and the Arts.

We also offer approximately 40 hours per year of Continuous Professional Development training for staff at every level.

Active Learning, Enabling Environments

We champion learning by doing, where children become active participants in their own education.

Through movement, abstract thoughts take shape. Children learn and remember best when they embody concepts through physical and mental engagement.

Structured learning settings promote the development of children's communication and teamwork skills.

By providing a variety of stimulating experiences, we encourage children to explore, experiment, and develop their ideas with the support of caring adults.

Roman is my 3rd baby and a baby is what we call him still. He just loves his nursery so much. It’s such a calm and friendly environment and we feel so lucky to be able to walk to school every morning and have every member of staff know his name.His teacher Ms Joyce really is the epitome of a pre school teacher and everything you’d ever want for your child’s first teacher.

I love this place, the environment is very cozy and warming. From management to every staffs, they are greeting to every parents and students each day.Huge outdoor play area with sand and mud kitchen, in the summer also included splash activities which we love it.Applause for the teachers and TAs.A huge thanks to everyone in this team to make our child happy and thriving.

My daughter absolutely loves Nursery to the point that I actually have to convince her to come home most days! I’ve seen her develop so fast and come home doing things I didn’t think was even possible at her age. She loves Ms.Tasneem, Netu, Pat and Ms.Rama and every single person at Step by Step. I fell in love with Step by Step Nursery when we moved from the UK over 5 years ago, as it has a very similar homely feeling. My youngest son started here when he was just 2 years old and absolutely flourished. His favourite person being Ms Leizle, who was a constant throughout his journey and she still get hugs when he visits from big school. After around 1 year, the role of Registrar became available and I jumped at the chance to work here with such a wonderful group of ladies. I am privileged that I get to speak to our wonderful families on a daily basis and be here to support them with the transition of putting their children into someone else’s care. We understand that this is a huge responsibility for all of us within the nursery. Thank you, Step by Step for giving me this opportunity to work in such a wonderful and caring environment.

My Son is in FS1 here and he is developing so beautifully in the engaging, inquiry based and natural environment that Step by Step prides themselves on. He runs into nursery every single morning, greeted with warmth from every staff member and leaves every day, chatting away about how special his day has been!Some things that really stand out for me as a parent are:- the huge outdoor space and the amount of time spent outside- the academic trips that FS1 go on- the friendliness and warmth of the staff- the inquiry based learning that the children get stuck into, which celebrates curiosity and enhances problem solving skills at such an important age.

My child has graduated from step by step nursery Layan branch , and I couldn't be happier with the experience so far. The teachers here are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, always going the extra mile to ensure each child's individual needs are met. Their expertise in early childhood education is evident, and they create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.The overall atmosphere at the nursery is wonderful. It's clear that a lot of thought has been put into creating a space that is both welcoming and engaging. My son has attended this nursery for about a year, and I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful experience he's had. At just two years old, he's thrived in this nurturing environment thanks to the incredible teachers and teacher assistants. Their kindness, care, and genuine love for the children are truly remarkable.The nursery boasts a spacious and well-organized garden where my son has spent countless joyful hours playing and learning. He's made tremendous progress and developed significantly during his time here. It was a difficult decision to say goodbye, but it's time for him to join his big brother at the (as they would say it) 'big school'.I wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a loving and supportive environment for their child. 24/7 CCTV Surveillance

Our premises are continuously monitored by a state-of-the-art CCTV system with a direct feed from the common areas into the Nursery Manager’s office.

Accessibility

Visitors can only gain access to the nursery via a secure entry system. Before being granted access, credentials are checked and government issued identification documents are requested.

Fire Safety

We have installed advanced fire alarm systems and conduct regular fire drills to prepare our staff and children for emergencies.

First Aid

All staff are Paediatric First Aid trained and are regularly updated on the current procedures for handling incidents and injuries.
